Back in 2007, life was different. No smartphones. No TikTok. Just dusty computer labs, MSN Messenger… and Silkroad Online.
I still remember the first time I logged into Server Venus on the original Joymax Silkroad. I was just a kid — wide-eyed, clueless, and instantly hooked. My brother and I spent every spare moment grinding mobs, collecting elixirs, and saving up for our first pet. The game was brutal… and beautiful.
We didn’t just play Silkroad.
We lived inside it.
👾 We Grew with the Game
When Alexander server launched, we jumped in.
When Cap 90 became Cap 100, we were there.
Cap 110, Fortress Wars, SRO-R — every expansion was a milestone not just in the game, but in our lives.
We watched as Silkroad became more than just a game. It became our community, our escape, and even our obsession.
We spent every bit of our allowance on silks — not because we had to, but because it felt worth it.
🔁 From Official to Private — And Then Lost
As the years passed, we moved on to ZSZC, VSRO, and countless other Silkroad private servers. Some of them were amazing.
But most of them?
- Closed after a few months.
- Relaunched under new names.
- Became pay-to-win nightmares.
- Had fake reviews everywhere.
We didn’t mind supporting good servers financially.
What frustrated us was the lies, the fake rankings, and the endless noise. We just wanted a place to play — fair, stable, and honest.
But finding that?
It became harder every year.

One day — after yet another server shut down just weeks after we donated — I turned to my brother and said:
“Why isn’t there a real site with real reviews from real players? Something like TripAdvisor… but for Silkroad?”
We laughed.
